San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Giants invite you to Opera at the Ballpark on Friday, September 28 for a free, live simulcast of Saint-Saëns’ romantic masterpiece Samson and Delilah. The opera begins at 8 pm, but the pre-show fun starts at 7:30 pm, as HD cameras capture the excitement backstage through interviews with the artists and more.
Treat yourself to a performance of biblical proportion – lavish, colorful and spectacular – as Samson and Delilah is transmitted in high definition, live from the War Memorial Opera House stage to AT&T Park’s 3200-square-foot Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision scoreboard. Baseball fans and opera fans alike will be thrilled by this FREE event with seating both on the field and in the stands.
ADVANCE REGISTRATION
Register now for your free simulcast tickets and early entry to AT&T Park. Registering also enters you into a drawing for 2 Box Seats to San Francisco Opera’s production of Madama Butterfly this December, and two Box Seats at AT&T Park for a 2008 San Francisco Giants game. Only registered ticket holders will be allowed early entrance for best seating, beginning at 6:30 pm. All others will be allowed to enter beginning at 7 pm.
EVENT SEATING
Bring blankets for seating on the field; no lawn or beach chairs will be permitted.
To sit on the field, present your ticket at the Marina Gate. Field seating is limited and will be made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Giants Security will issue wristbands to ticket-holders beginning at 5 pm.
To sit in all other seating sections, present your ticket at the Willie Mays Plaza Entrance.
DAY OF EVENT
Those who have not pre-registered and do not have pre-printed tickets will be directed to the Lefty O’Doul Plaza Entrance and allowed to enter the park beginning at 7 pm.
AT&T Park Concessions will be open for the simulcast. No glass containers, no alcohol, no metal utensils, no hard-sided coolers or picnic baskets are permitted.
